Parlez-vous francais? Trustwave's plan to train the world on security awareness

We believe in the value of security awareness training. A more security-savvy employee is one who is less likely to click on that suspicious email link or leave an unencrypted laptop containing sensitive data in their car overnight.

Informing workers about the role they can play in safeguarding a company's data is table stakes in today's corporate environment. And its importance is only compounded by the rise of remote users and multinational corporations. A security-aware user working out of a company's New York headquarters will be of no value to the company if her counterpart somewhere else in the world is clueless on security. As well all know, it only takes one shortsighted moment to perpetuate a data breach.

Security awareness is a universal language. That's why, in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of National Cyber Security Awareness Month, Trustwave has expanded the global reach of our cloud-based security awareness training by adding courses in four additional languages and by making other enhancements designed to help organizations empower employees with security know-how to help reduce security risks, prevent data loss and thwart cybercrime.

New online courses in French, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish, along with the existing English courses, make security and compliance training easier for multinational businesses and businesses operating Canada, France, Brazil, Mexico, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. Trustwave has also made it easier for businesses to manage and administer the online training with a new user management dashboard and email communications templates.

Enhancements to Trustwave Security Awareness Education include:

  • Expanded language availability: now available in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish
  • New courses: "Social Engineering" and "Mobile Device Security" contain engaging new content, including case studies, videos, choose-your-own-adventure activities and more
  • New user management dashboard makes overseeing and managing training for employees faster and easier
  • New email templates that automate the process of rolling out training to employees and sending reminders to perform annual training checkups.

National Cyber Security Awareness Month is sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security in cooperation with the National Cyber Security Alliance and the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center. Through a series of events and initiatives across the country, National Cyber Security Awareness Month engages public- and private-sector organizations to raise awareness and educate consumers and businesses about cybersecurity.
