We're Raising the Curtain at TRANSACT 14

Written by Dan Kaplan | Apr 2, 2014

The trillion-dollar payments industry is red hot. This is the true not only because of the cutting-edge methods and technologies being built to meet customers' needs - but also because criminals are targeting these commerce channels with greater dedication and profitability than ever before.

So whether you're a provider that's built a revolutionary method for merchants to accept payment, or an acquiring bank or processor finding new ways to serve retailers, or a firm offering leading payment card security and compliance services and solutions, we're all in this together.

With that theme in mind, Trustwave is heading to Las Vegas next week for the TRANSACT 14 conference (formerly known as the ETA Annual Meeting & Expo), which runs from April 8 to 10.

Here's what we have planned for the show:

Booth Business

Join us at Booth #810, beginning with the opening reception from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and meet our experts and learn about our offerings. The expo floor will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Our booth will be hopping with activity throughout the show, and stay hydrated and refreshed - we are in the desert, remember - with free smoothies all day long. Plus, we'll have plenty of giveaways.

New Tools

At the show, we'll be previewing the latest version of Trustwave TrustKeeper PCI Manager. It's not ready for release just yet, but you can be one of the first people to see a demo and get materials. So be sure to stop by the booth.

Data Breach Summit

Responding to the non-stop parade of data breaches impacting the payment chain, TRANSACT 14 will play host this year for the first time to the Data Breach Summit. It contains six tracks, and we're rather partial to the talk at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday - "The Anatomy of a POS (point-of-sale) breach - Could Your Compliance Program Use a Restart?" - presented by Trustwave's Charles Henderson, our director of SpiderLabs.

Lending a Hand

Remember how we mentioned earlier that we're all in this together? Well, we were inspired to think that way before we attended last year's show in New Orleans, a city that still is recovering from Hurricane Katrina.

We decided to ally with a local charity - the Epworth Project, which is working to rebuild the more than 40,000 homes still damaged by the powerful storm. We ended up raising more than $7,500 for the group.

Even though we're moving on to a new city, we've decided to keep the tradition going and this year partner with the Women Leaders in Action, a group of senior women in the payments division of a major bank that provides support to charitable-based organizations, with a focus on education-related projects. If you stop by the our Booth #810 and have your badge scanned, we'll donate an additional $5 to this endeavor.
