The Release Notes included with the McAfee for Marshal installation are accurate as of the date of publication. The current release is 6.1.2.1564, released November 9, 2017.

This article provides any information generated after that date.

64-bit support:

  • A 64-bit version of McAfee for Marshal 6.1 is available to support Trustwave SEG 8.X and WebMarshal 7.X.
  • The 32-bit version of McAfee for Marshal 6.1 supports SEG 7.X, ECM 7.X, and WebMarshal 6.X in both 32-bit and 64-bit environments.
  • 64-bit and 32-bit versions can co-exist on the same server.

Installation order:

  • When migrating from SEG 7.X to SEG 8.X, or from WebMarshal 6.X to 7.X, to avoid engine downtime, install 64-bit McAfee for Marshal and ensure that signatures are up to date before migrating the main product.
