Trustwave Cybersecurity Expert Wins Threat Seeker Leadership Award from SC Media

CHICAGO - September 6, 2017 - SC Media has named Trustwave Vice President of SpiderLabs Security Research Ziv Mador to its elite list of threat seekers in the inaugural SC Media Reboot Leadership Awards.

Designed and launched to showcase and acknowledge industry luminaries who are positively impacting and advancing the cybersecurity area, the awards program is an extension of SC Media's annual Reboot edition. In that end-of-the-year special, which is both published in magazine form and in an exclusive, expanded section at SCMagazine.com, the almost 30-year-old brand's editorial team identifies the best and brightest cybersecurity professionals and their many achievements.

"As cyberthreats continue to grow more numerous and complex, understanding how various actors such as criminal gangs on the dark web think and operate is critical," said Ziv Mador, vice president of security research for the SpiderLabs team at Trustwave. "I am honored to lead Trustwave's global research team where some of the world's top researchers identify global threats and produce the proprietary intelligence that powers Trustwave cybersecurity solutions and our managed security services."

Mador leads a group of cybersecurity researchers for the SpiderLabs team at Trustwave. SpiderLabs is Trustwave's elite team of more than 150 ethical hackers, forensic investigators and researchers helping organizations fight cybercrime, protect data and reduce risk.

The award recipients faced a thorough judging process conducted by SC Media's editorial team that included a review of their professional backgrounds, references and work undertaken to benefit the wider industry, as well as any other research deemed necessary by editorial leaders. The final selection in each category was based on an honoree's outstanding service, qualifications and advancements to the cybersecurity industry.

"Ziv Mador exemplifies leadership in one of the most vibrant and fast-evolving industries today," said Teri Robinson, executive editor, SC Media. "That's what this awards program is all about - highlighting some of the strongest leaders of the cybersecurity arena whose efforts more often than not underpin every business and leisure activity we undertake online nowadays. The advances made in this marketplace to protect data, privacy and people are vital to all that we do."

After this inaugural year, the SC Media Reboot Leadership Awards program will continue to develop so that the notable contributions, thought leadership and unique improvements being made by a wide range of IT and information security players to the larger cybersecurity industry are acknowledged and celebrated annually.
