Trustwave Government Solutions Named Palo Alto Networks Cortex® XMDR Specialization Partner

Trustwave Government Solutions (TGS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trustwave Holdings, Inc., which supports the public sector with market-leading Managed Detection and Response (MDR) cybersecurity services, has achieved Palo Alto Networks Cortex eXtended Managed Detection and Response (XMDR) Specialization.

“We are thrilled to be expanding our managed security services collaboration with Palo Alto Networks to bring a whole new level of protection to government institutions,” said Bill Rucker, President of Trustwave Government Solutions. “This achievement confirms our commitment to providing our clients with next-generation security technology and services and offering the first-ever managed detection and response service specifically built for the rigorous requirements of the federal government.”

The Cortex XMDR Specialization will enable TGS to combine the power of best-in-class Cortex XDR™ detection and response solution with their leading managed services offerings — helping customers worldwide streamline security operations center (SOC) operations and quickly mitigate cyber threats.

TGS earned this honor by proving its operational capabilities, fulfilling business requirements, and completing technical, sales enablement, and specialization examinations. As a result, TGS is now among a select group of Palo Alto Networks Channel partners with the Cortex XMDR Specialization and can now offer Cortex XDR™ detection and response solution with Trustwave’s best-in-class managed services offerings.

“Organizations need effective detection and response across the network, endpoint, and cloud but managing today’s threats effectively is a massive undertaking,” said Tom Barsi, Vice President Cortex Ecosystems at Palo Alto Networks. “Trustwave Government Solutions’ commitment to attain the Cortex XMDR Specialization will give their managed security services customers peace of mind that the services they are choosing will mitigate security gaps and relieve the day-to-day burden of security operations for customers with 24/7 coverage.”

The Trustwave and Palo Alto Networks Partnership

Trustwave Holdings and Palo Alto Networks have a long history of partnership. Trustwave already offers XSOAR powered by Trustwave and Xpanse powered by Trustwave – two services for Palo Alto Networks’ Cortex® XSOAR and Cortex Xpanse.

Trustwave Holdings previously achieved Power of Palo Alto Networks Cortex XMDR Specialization.

Combining the power of a best-in-class Cortex XDR™ detection and response solution with the threat intelligence collected and curated by the elite Trustwave SpiderLabs researchers will ensure clients are well prepared to detect threats sooner, respond faster, maximize technology investments, and remain ahead of the quickly evolving threat landscape.

In order to achieve Specialization status, TGS had to meet a specific list of criteria, including having Cortex XDR-certified SOC analysts/threat hunters on staff and available 24/7. In addition, TGS personnel Partners had to complete technical and sales enablement and specialization examinations.

Cortex XMDR Specialization partners such as TGS have a combination of experienced analysts, mature operational processes, and proven customer support with Palo Alto Networks market-leading security products. These capabilities enable Trustwave to provide customers comprehensive visibility, detection, and response across network, endpoint, and cloud assets, combined with best-in-class threat prevention and in-depth security expertise.
