Propelling the Payments Industry: What to Expect at TRANSACT 16

If you're entrenched in the payments industry as a bank, processor or even merchant, you may be headed to the TRANSACT 16: Powered by ETA Conference, being held April 19 to 21 in Las Vegas. With more than 4,000 attendees, it's billed as the largest annual assembly of electronics payments professionals.

The Trustwave gang will be back in full force, eager to show you what we have introduced since we last saw you at TRANSACT 15 and looking forward to conversations about how we can partner even more effectively over this next year.

Of course, we'll also discuss what is making news in the world of electronic payments. At last year's show, the community was looking ahead to the EMV liability deadline in the United States and discussing the hurdles and implications of adoption. This year, with the liability shift in place, we can anticipate an analysis of remaining challenges.

The maturation of mobile payments will again be a hot topic. Emerging topics include new card brand requirements for Qualified Integrator and Reseller (QIR) certification and the impending introduction of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) 3.2, with an ongoing focus on the impact of these changes to small and midsized businesses (SMBs).

Since last TRANSACT, we have introduced the SMB Security Toolkit for our industry-leading TrustKeeper PCI Manager. Stop by Booth #916 in the Exhibit Hall for a demo. You'll learn how the SMB Security Toolkit delivers cost-effective security designed for the requirements of SMBs and how processing partners can double their revenues with security-focused programs.

TRANSACT 16 devotes an entire educational track to security - a chance for attendees to dive into best practices related to new technologies. Thiago Musa, SpiderLabs Director at Trustwave, will be addressing the topic "Payment Tokenization: Is the Framework Secure?" from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on April 19. For 20 years, Trustwave has espoused a "security first" approach to compliance - so it's always gratifying when that mantra is amplified.

And in the keynotes you'll find our esteemed partner, First Data, taking the stage at 9 a.m. on April 20 to discuss "The Future of Small Business Enablement." First Data's TransArmor Solution is delivered through Trustwave TrustKeeper PCI Manager. It features easy-to-use PCI compliance tools and a compliance "fast track" that is available to users of Clover and other eligible products, as well as integration with the robust security solutions in the aforementioned Trustwave SMB Security Toolkit.

If you're headed to the show, we can even offer you a peek under the hood at in-progress innovations for future releases. It's not too late to reach out for that private meeting, contact our Jill Rymarz here.

And back at Trustwave Booth #916, we'll have refreshments waiting for you, along with some practical, some educational and some whimsical surprises.

See you in Vegas!

Dixie Fisher is product marketing manager of compliance solutions at Trustwave.
