Trustwave Accelerates Its MDR Leadership Momentum

18164_ericharmon-21 Eric Harmon, CEO, Trustwave

As a top global cyber defender, Trustwave has rapidly evolved over the years to meet the needs of our clients, the demands of the market, and effectively combat new and complex threat actors around the world.

Today, we announced the divestiture of SecureTrust and Trustwave's FLEX business to Sysnet Global Solutions. While the legacy of Trustwave has been rooted in PCI compliance, the services that SecureTrust and FLEX provide are no longer closely aligned with Trustwave's refocused high-growth, core offerings of Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Managed Security Services (MSS), and Consulting and Professional Services (CPS).

More Capacity for Innovation = More Value for Trustwave Clients

This business shift allows us to focus on and accelerate our momentum as the industry leader in managed detection and response, world-class professional services, and data protection. Now, Trustwave has even greater capacity for innovation in critical areas for our growth, meeting the market and our clients where they need us most by expanding our investments in leading-edge tools, smart processes, and world-class cybersecurity talent.

We have an unwavering commitment to provide our clients with even more:

  • Powerful analytics and a seamless user experience via our cloud-native XDR platform, Trustwave Fusion.
  • Robust Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities to contextually detect threat actors faster and with less noise in environments.
  • Scalable automation – which allows client and Trustwave analysts to focus on efficiently detecting and responding to threats.
  • The very best talent. Trustwave expects to take the lead position in attracting top cybersecurity talent while continuing to offer personal growth and attractive career paths for our current team members.

As one of only three organizations in the world named as a Leader in MSS by the three top-tier analyst firms – IDC, Forrester and Gartner – we are even better positioned to help our clients securely navigate their digital transformation journeys.

Clients are shifting to hybrid, multi-cloud environments at a rapid pace.

The strategic business shifts from Trustwave align with the market opportunity in managed detection and response. The managed detection and response market is poised to grow double digits, in part due to the digital transformation of enterprises which require faster detection and response across hybrid architectures. Trustwave's focused investments in talent and technology are well-targeted.

Christina Richmond, Program Vice President, IDC Security Services

It's clear the market demands a focused set of services – and an intelligent and efficient ecosystem of partners to help them reduce complexity and cyber risk in their environments.

We couldn't be more excited to accelerate our business momentum in our core offerings. We look forward to collaborating with our clients, partners and the industry as we work tirelessly to combat new and emerging cyber threats across the globe.
