Over the past decade, Trustwave MailMarshal, formerly Trustwave Secure Email Gateway, has solidified itself as a leader in the email security market and has stood out for its unique capabilities that serve clients across complex on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
As the only email gateway to support Microsoft Azure Information Protection (AIP) and Rights Management Services (RMS) – Trustwave MailMarshal can decrypt Azure RMS email for Microsoft 365 to enforce all outbound policy controls before re-encrypting and sending, thus eliminating security blind spots created by email encryption. MailMarshal can also enforce Azure RMS controls based on policy triggers even if they are forgotten by the user.
What also makes Trustwave MailMarshal differentiated is its specialized Business Email Compromise (BEC) Engine. Advanced BEC is a growing concern for organizations. The FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center received 19,369 BEC/Email Account Compromise (EAC) complaints with adjusted losses of over $1.8 billion in 2020 alone.
Thankfully, MailMarshal incorporates a dedicated BEC fraud detection engine for identifying low-volume, highly-targeted spear-phishing attacks. This engine is regularly updated with the latest threat intelligence and maintained by our elite Trustwave SpiderLabs Email Security Research and Malware Analysis team – who are world-renowned for their pioneering BEC and malware research dating back two decades.
